Texas Education Freedom Accounts launching 2026-27 will provide ESA funding to eligible Texas families. With a $1 billion appropriation, this represents the largest school choice program launch in U.S. history.

β Eligibility Requirements
Phase 1 (2026-27): Income at or below 500% FPL OR students with disabilities. Texas resident. Must have attended Texas public school for at least one semester or be entering kindergarten. Program may expand to universal in future phases.
π What You Can Buy with ESA Funds
Private school tuition and fees, tutoring services, educational therapies, curriculum and textbooks, standardized testing fees, online learning programs, dual enrollment courses, educational software and technology, transportation to educational services, and other approved educational expenses.
